Synopsis[]
A Conversation Between Office Ladies in Hokkaido[]
A woman named Chako claims to be one of the founding members of a gang in Ikebukuro called the Dollars. Though she has never been to Ikebukuro herself, she casually tells a coworker how she and some online acquaintances began posting the group name on various online message boards until the rumor grew into rumors and stories independent of the original members. Eventually, Chako came to realize that one of her co-founders, who had appeared ordinary and innocent at first, was frighteningly devoted to preserving an idealistic version of the group, and she left out of concern that TarouTanaka was actually someone unhinged.

Hiroto Shijima despairs over his loss to Izaya Orihara at the Amphisbaena parlor a few days prior. He retreats to his home, intending to seek help from his family and use their influence and power to achieve his revenge. When he does, he sees a guest had arrived and was having a discussion with his father and grandfather. He is introduced to Jinnai Yodogiri and his secretary Kasane Kujiragi. Hiroto's grandfather Giichiro reassures Hiroto that he'll take care of Awakusu-Kai but in exchange he must follow Jinnai's instructions.
